Rwanda has a total installed generation capacity of 110 MW, with a 16 per cent connectivity rate. This is set to increase by 70 per cent by 2017, with generation capacity reaching 563 MW. In that regard, stakeholders, financiers, and industry experts convened in Kigali at the iPad Power and Infrastructure Forum to explore the country’s untapped energy potentials, and investment incentives, as well as roll-out plans within the East African region.
