Creation of the Engineering School for Petroleum and Energy

Within the INSTITUT NATIONAL POLYTECHNICAL INSTITUTE HOUPHOUET BOIGNY 
A YAMOUSSOUKRO - IVORY COAST 

The Institut National Polytechnique Félix Houphouët-Boigny (INP-HB) has decided, with the support of the Ministry of Petroleum, Energy and Renewable Energies (MPEER), the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research (MESRS) and with the support of the highest authorities, to create the Engineering School for Petroleum and Energy which will be located in Yamoussoukro like the other schools of the Institute.

The first ESPE training will start on 14 September 2020. It will take place mainly in English. It will bring together about 40 students from all origins (Ivory Coast, Neighbouring Countries, Other Countries), and will take place in the following way: first of all, a 10-week common core, devoted to the economic aspects of the hydrocarbon industry followed by two parallel training courses for two groups of about twenty students, after division of the group having followed the common core: one group will follow the teachings of an upstream oil master's degree, the other will follow the teachings of a downstream oil master's degree. The total duration of the training is 41 to 42 weeks followed by an internship in a company of about 6 months.

The training will be done in collaboration with the LFP School and IFP Training. Part of the training will be delivered by trainers from the IFP Energies Nouvelles group, the other part will be delivered by Ivorian or African trainers, supervised by INP HB, and coming either from INP-HB or from industry.
